There’s been much excitement around the World Rugby Sevens Series in Cape Town , which takes place in December, and tickets for the event are set to go quickly as they officially go on sale this morning.
The defending series champions will host the second round of the ten-part event at the Cape Town Stadium on December 9-10.

Tickets will be available on the Computicket website or app, and participating Shoprite or Checkers stores nationwide at 9am today. Prices start at R150 and, depending on seating, go up to R300.
A restriction has been placed on the number of tickets an individual, company or institution may purchase, with a limit of 10 being implemented.
The 2016 edition of the Cape Town event was named the best live sports experience in South Africa at the Discovery Sport Industry Awards in Johannesburg earlier this year and 2017 is expected to be no different.
“The HSBC Cape Town Sevens is regarded as one of the best sporting events in South Africa and we aim to improve the experience every year,” said SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux.
“Feedback we’ve received has indicated a strong need for a ‘family experience’ which is why we’ve blocked out the North Stand as an alcohol-free zone, with the Kiddies Village there to provide entertainment for the little ones during the day – free of charge.
“The South Stand will be the party stand again and we’re excited to see what fun ways fans will come up with to show their support for the Blitzboks and the other teams in action,” he said.
